Threadless is a Print On Demand platform. (POD)
Their platform connects eCommerce merchants with a network of Print Providers around the world. Threadless automates all processes that are involved: order processing, fulfillment, and delivery.
The print providers are responsible for printing the designs onto the products. With their resources a print provider will print, package and ship custom products to the customer.
Many POD brands may only have one or a few Print Providers which can limit the selection of products available to chose from. However, Threadless has dozens of print providers which allows its merchants to offer a much greater number of products like swimwear, children’s clothing, and home accessories.
By partnering with a POD like Threadless we are able to offer our customers a vastly expanded range of products.
Print-On-Demand (POD) is a business model where the final products are created
when the customer places an order.
When the order is received the design is put on the products for that specific customer.
Shipping costs will vary depending on the shipping method, product type, Print Provider, and delivery destination. Threadless offers a global network that enables it to deliver products to almost any destination worldwide. Please note that the shipping cost is not included in the product price.
Depending on which products a customer orders different Print Providers may be creating each custom item specifically for that customer. If multiple Print Providers are involved in a customers order they will each have their own shipping cost based on which product they produced.
For qualifying US orders over $99, Discounted Postal Shipping is available with a $5 Postal Flat Rate for each shipment. For qualifying non-US orders over $150, $15 Standard Flat Rate Shipping is available for each shipment.
Ship prices are adjusted at checkout based on the items in your order, the number of shipments, the country, and the shipping method. We offer Postal | Fast (Ground) | Faster (Two Day) | Fastest (Next Day) shipping for US-based customers and Standard shipping for customers outside of the US (Additional expedited shipping methods may be available depending on the country).
Checkout & Processing
To find out how much shipping is for your order, add the items to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout. Enter your shipping address during the first step of the checkout process, then proceed to the second step to see the shipping options and prices. You'll see the shipping cost under each shipping option in the Shipping Method section and the Total Cost (Items + Shipping + Tax) on the right side of the screen under Cart Summary. Shipping options and prices will vary based on the items you have in your cart. Add or remove items and follow the same steps to determine the new shipping price.
Because items are custom printed and shipped from different locations, your items may be separated into multiple shipments. However, the shipping price will be shown as a single shipping cost for your entire order. Due to the different processing times and shipping locations, we are unable to combine shipments.
Please note, customs fees and additional fees may apply for international shipments. Contact your local customs office for more info.
*Quoted ship prices are in USD and for single shipment orders. Different shipping charges may apply for orders with multiple shipments. Certain products may be calculated differently and excluded from shipping discounts.

Since items are printed to order, we don't do traditional returns. Your order was custom made especially for you. If your order is wrong, you’re not happy with the prints, or if it isn’t what you expected for any reason, our Customer Support will gladly within 60 days replace/exchange any items free of charge or provide reimbursement (store credit).
